With a HUGE MAHALO to our generous sponsors and donors, we are pleased to offer multiple scholarship opportunities to help cover the cost of attendee fees for the 2022 Hawai’i Songwriting Festival. Scholarship recipients will receive a non-transferable, admission to the
Hawai’i Songwriting Festival valued at $350.00.

We are also excited to once again offer a limited number of larger scholarships that include:
Hotel accommodations for three(3) nights and/or roundtrip inter-island airfare in addition to covering the cost of registration.
The scholarships are:
The Jerome Spence Memorial Scholarship was founded in 2017 by Jerome’s fiancée, Heather Anderson

The Jason Mraz Foundation Scholarship was founded in 2018 by Jason Mraz after he joined us as a staff member in 2017
(see www.hawaiisongwritingfestival.com/jason-mraz-foundation-scholarship.html for more information).
Both of these scholarships give preference to applicants who meet the following criteria:
• demonstrate financial need
• are of Native Hawaiian ancestry
• live in Hawai’i
If you wish to be considered, please mention so in your essay and tell us how you meet the criteria in addition to addressing the essay prompt on the application.
