TRAVEL AND HOTEL
All workshops and other activities will be at the Westin Hapuna Beach Resort on the Kohala coast on Hawai'i Island (the "Big Island")
We will have a limited number of rooms available at a discounted group rate at the Westin Hapuna. Check back here for updates and instructions on how to book once the group rate goes active. Note: these rooms are limited and will go fast - we sold out the hotel the last two years!
Additional lodging options
We recognize that staying at the Westin Hapuna Beach Resort may not work for everybody's budget. There are many other options nearby as well, including hotels, condos, and airbnb/VRBO options in Puako (3 minutes away), Mauna Lani resort area (5 minutes away), Waikoloa resort area (7 minutes away), Waikoloa village (15 minutes away), and Waimea town (15-20 minutes away). Uber/Lyft is NOT reliable on the Big Island, so we suggest you rent a car if you are not staying at the Westin.
We also encourage you to find other attendees to share a place with - you get the benefit of reducing lodging costs and more time to network and bond with your fellow songwriters!

Air travel and ground transportation
The Keahole Kona International Airport (KOA) is the closest airport, about 30 minutes away from the Westin Hapuna Beach Resort.
Click here for location information, transportation recommendations, and driving directions. Please be advised that there are very few Uber and Lyft drivers on the Big Island. Unless you book in advance, wait times can be quite long and often there are no available drivers. We recommend renting a car or reserving a shuttle or taxi instead.
